This second letter from Mr. Darlington was addressed to a "Cleo," presumably because of his trouble pronouncing his ladylove's actual name, "Claire."

In early 2000, Ms. Claire Frese, a student at the College of Wooster, spent a semester abroad in Zimbabwe. Among her admirers was a neighbor, a man named Mr. Darlington, who proposed marriage frequently--despite the fact that he was already happily married.
